Baby Simulator — Frequently Asked Questions
New to Baby Simulator or running into something unexpected? Here are answers to the questions we hear most often, from how the game works to what the premium features include.
Getting Started
Yes. The core game — all 18 years of parenting scenarios, the full story, and the ending summary — is completely free to play. No payment is needed to experience the complete game.
Some additional features require credits: AI-generated portrait images of your grown child, and access to premium AI models that produce richer, more detailed narratives. These are optional enhancements, not requirements for the main experience.
No account is required to start playing. You can open the game and begin your parenting journey immediately. Your progress is saved automatically to your browser's local storage.
An email address is only needed if you purchase credits for premium features, in which case it helps us link your credits to your session.
Baby Simulator is available in four languages: English, Chinese (Simplified), Japanese, and Spanish. You can switch languages from the settings menu in the game interface at any time.
The AI-generated story content, scenarios, and character dialogue are all generated in your chosen language — not simply translated.
Baby Simulator runs in any modern web browser on desktop, tablet, or mobile. No app download is required. It works on Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. We recommend a screen width of at least 360px for the best experience on mobile.
Gameplay
A full playthrough — from birth to your child's 18th birthday — typically takes 30 to 45 minutes. This varies based on how quickly you read and how much time you spend on the custom response option.
You can pause at any time by simply closing the tab. Your progress is saved automatically.
Yes. Your game is saved automatically to your browser's local storage each time you make a decision. You can close the browser tab and return later to continue right where you left off.
Important: Clearing your browser's cache, cookies, or site data will erase your saved progress. If you share a device with others, be aware that anyone using the same browser can see or overwrite your save.
No. Like real parenting, Baby Simulator has no single "correct" path. Every parenting style produces different outcomes, and all of those outcomes are valid story endings. A child who becomes a musician is not a lesser outcome than one who becomes a doctor — they're just different stories shaped by different choices.
The game is designed to be thought-provoking rather than judgmental. You won't be penalized for choosing an unusual or unconventional approach.
You cannot undo individual decisions — the game is designed to be played forward, just like real parenting. Each decision is permanent within a playthrough.
However, you can start a new game at any time. Many players enjoy replaying with deliberately different choices to see how the story changes. Each playthrough generates a completely unique AI narrative.
The game ends with a detailed ending summary — an AI-written character portrait of the adult your child became. This includes their personality, values, career direction, and key relationships, all derived from the decisions you made over 18 years.
You're also given the option to generate an AI portrait image of your grown child. This visualization is based on the child's described appearance and personality. You can download or share the result.
AI Features
Baby Simulator uses large language AI models to generate scenarios, process your choices, and write the narrative outcomes. Each scenario is generated based on your child's current age, accumulated traits, family background, and the history of your previous decisions.
This means every playthrough is genuinely different. Even if you make the same choices in two separate games, the specific wording, scenarios, and story details will vary.
At certain milestones and at the end of the game, you can generate an AI-created portrait image of your child at that age. The image is generated using AI image generation technology based on your child's described appearance and background.
Portrait generation uses credits. You can purchase credits through the in-game payment system. The core game narrative requires no credits.
Sharing & Community
At the end of the game, your ending card includes a share option. You can copy the summary text or download the ending card as an image to share on social media. Many players share their results on X (Twitter), Reddit, and in parenting communities online.
The Gallery page shows AI portrait images shared by the Baby Simulator community.
Baby Simulator is designed for general audiences and is suitable for teens and adults. The game deals with real parenting themes including family dynamics, school challenges, financial stress, and adolescent development — all handled thoughtfully and without graphic content.
Younger players may find some scenarios emotionally complex. We recommend parental discretion for players under 13.
